How should one choose between flow-on and flow-off operation for valves?
Flow-opening type: When the fluid flows past the valve core, the resulting thrust helps to open the valve; such a valve core is considered flow-opening. Flow-closing type: When fluid flows through the valve core, the resulting thrust helps to close the valve; such a valve core is considered flow-closing

I currently have an eccentric rotary valve; the FTC value was provided by the design institute, while the FTO value was given by the valve manufacturer, and I’m not sure how to make a choice
