As far as I know, the output voltage of this surge protector is reversed; for example, it’s 3+ and 4-, resulting in 24V. When using a multimeter to measure 1+ and 2-, the reading is -24V. What is the reason for this? What do the four boxes in this diagram represent? The IOP HC series listed below is connected to the pump stop control line; whenever the electrical drawer is powered on, the fuse in the electrical secondary circuit blows. What is the reason for this?

Why reverse? Has the GDT broken down? 3. The circuit voltage of DO-MCC is 220AC, while IOP is designed for instruments rated at 24V, with a nominal voltage of 36V. The GDT is voltage-broken and conducts current to ground (in surge condition), causing the electrical L to be grounded without going through the contactor/relay. (Relay protection is sufficient; using surges is a bit wasteful.) You need to keep using it; you can replace it with a surge protector that operates on 220 volts. 4. For the rest, see the attachment.
Thank you very much; it was my misunderstanding that the output voltage was reversed. Teacher, do you mean that the IOP HC series cannot be used with a 220V voltage? “IOP is for instruments rated at 24V, with a nominal voltage of 36V – does this refer to its use with direct current?
Although the IOP HC series has a rated current of 5A, its voltage is at the 24V level; when connected to a 220V electrical circuit, the discharge tube GDT is broken down by the voltage and is forced to ground in order to discharge current. The IOP-AC is suitable for 220V circuits, but its rated current is only 1.75A. You can ask an electrician what the rated current of the KM contactor coil is. If it is less than 1.75, then the IOP-AC can definitely be used ; If it is greater, a surge gate powered by 220V can be chosen, as it has a high operating current. On the instrument side, the DO-MCC is definitely isolated by relays; the surge guard is then used to protect those relays. The contact rating of signal relays is generally 220/3A or 5A, which is much higher than that of IOPs. I think it’s a bit redundant.
