During recent project debugging, it was found that many Siemens positioners exhibited surge phenomena even in manual mode. Of course, issues such as air leakage and feedback problems have been ruled out; I’m not sure how to address this issue, so I hope experts can offer some guidance.

You can check the manual; it seems there is something called sensitivity time, which should be set to the minimum. Siemens positioners have high requirements for instrument air; make sure that the instrument air ducts are thoroughly purged and free of moisture.
Carefully inspect the gas path; if air leakage can be ruled out, attempting to set a larger dead zone width can effectively prevent surging
In addition to instrumentation issues, it is also necessary to consider the fact that the distance between flow-restricting components such as valves and elbows may not meet regulatory requirements, which can lead to surge in the valve itself; in severe cases, cavitation damage may occur.
This phenomenon occurs with all Siemens positioners; it is rare to see it in Fisher and Yamaki units in the field
That’s absolutely correct; it’s almost certainly for that reason, with no other reasons.
I personally think it’s still due to the principle of the locator, especially with the addition of a speed amplifier, also known as a power amplifier. Siemens’ feedback is of the contact type, and it is highly affected by vibrations. In units and applications where precision control is required, using Aka’s contactless positioners from the M11 series, or Yamatake’s nozzle-type positioners, can help to resolve these issues more effectively.
