Are the I/O module and I/O card part of a single unit or separate? Can the I/O module be removed from the I/O card? Does one module correspond to one card, or does a vertical row of modules correspond to one card? Is the I/O module powered by the I/O card? Then how does that card get powered? Can I use a tool to remove the module from the card holder? Will it cause electric shock or result in data loss?
The IO module is the IO card; some people prefer to call it a module, while others prefer to call it a card. Answer completed: P
It can be said that the I/O module and the base are paired with each other; the base and the module correspond one-to-one. The clip on the right side can be loosened to remove the module directly. There will be no electric shock, but the equipment currently in operation at the site will lose its input and output functions. Make sure that the devices connected to each channel on the module to be removed are temporarily stopped from operating before removing it.

The Festo FM, right? The base supplies power to the modules; each base has DIP switches that correspond to a specific order. Additionally, measures are in place at the time of manufacturing to prevent incorrect installation – as long as nothing has been altered, it’s not possible to insert a module in the wrong position. The modules are pre-configured, and changes can be made through software (it is recommended not to make any changes unless you are very familiar with the process). The module can be plugged in and removed while it is still powered on; the data is not affected by this. However, be aware that it will stop working once those connectors are removed. Make sure in advance whether there are any interconnections involved; if not, check with the workshop first – it’s fine to remove them.
