For the pressure testing of instrument pressure lead pipes, should it be carried out at the design pressure or at 1.2 times the operating pressure?
GB50093 requires tests to be conducted at a design pressure that is 1.5 times that for liquids and 1.15 times that for gases. GB50093 sets out provisions based on GB50235; for more detailed explanations or more complex scenarios, refer to GB50235.
The pipeline design is based on multiples of the design pressure, and it has nothing to do with the operating pressure.
Test at 1.15 times the design pressure (for pneumatic systems) or 1.5 times the design pressure (for hydraulic systems).
