The principle of explosion-proof pressure sensors is basically the same as that of ordinary pressure transmitters. The pressure of the medium under test is transmitted to the explosion-proof transmitter via a process connection. The measuring head is a component whose capacitance can be changed; as a result of the applied pressure, its capacitance varies in accordance with changes in pressure. The changing capacitance output from the measuring head is transmitted to the oscillation frequency signal, which then passes through an integrated operational amplifier; this allows for the detection of the half-wave signal with a low oscillation frequency, and the signal is subsequently sent to the intelligent microprocessor. Explosion-proof transmitters must comply with explosion-proof regulations during installation. The medium being measured must also not freeze, as this could damage the diaphragm of the sensing element and lead to damage to the transmitter; it is best to install it in an area with minimal temperature gradients and humidity changes, as well as free from shocks and vibrations. There are also specific issues, and when looking at the actual operating environment, different considerations need to be taken into account. The inspection methods mainly include: 1. Checking whether the power wiring of the explosion-proof pressure transmitter is correct, and whether the wiring method meets the specified requirements, etc. 2. Use direct observation to check the integrity of the transmitter’s appearance and whether there is any looseness in its structural assembly. At the same time, it is necessary to maintain the explosion-proof pressure transmitter by cleaning it regularly to prevent dust and foreign objects from entering its interior. It is important to note that the transmitter must be powered off before cleaning it. 3. Verify the measurement range of the explosion-proof pressure transmitter, as the transmitter’s range affects the selection of pressure modules and other components. 4. Since transmitters are prone to drift, when disassembling and inspecting explosion-proof pressure transmitters, it is necessary to check for any signs of drift. 5. Adjust the values such as variables, upper and lower limits of the transmitter. Note that the adjustment steps must be carried out strictly in accordance with the requirements outlined in the manual. 6. When an explosion-proof pressure transmitter malfunctions, it is often due to problems with its internal structure; therefore, it is necessary to open its cover in order to conduct an inspection. 7. When using the transmitter, it is necessary to ensure a stable power supply. At the same time, situations such as electric shock should be avoided.
