For C4 deep processing, the flow meters for acid addition and acid discharge in the reactor – previously electromagnetic flow meters with PTFE linings were used – and we plan to replace them. I’m not sure what type could be used instead; could anyone recommend one? Thank you
There is no better choice than an electromagnetic flowmeter:D
Electromagnetic flowmeters are quite good; there’s no need to replace them. If replacement is necessary, mass flowmeters can also be used.
That makes sense; we use electromagnetic devices for our concentrated sulfuric acid, and there have been no problems in over three years

If an electromagnetic flowmeter is installed too loosely, acid leakage can occur; if it is installed too tightly, the lining may be damaged. . . . It’s mainly not very stable, probably due to poor liquidity

How could the PTFE lining corrode? We’ve been using it just fine; the gasket in between is also made of PTFE, and the screws are tightened properly – there’s no such phenomenon as you mentioned
Switch to an electromagnetic flowmeter from a well-known brand. How does the tightness of flange bolts affect the lining? The manufacturing quality is terrible. PTFE is the best plastic for resisting acids and alkalis; is there any other option?
