Catalyst has a feed unit for crude oil; the medium temperature is 245 degrees, the operating pressure is 0.75 MPa, and the medium in question is crude oil. What type of flow meter would be suitable for use in this case? (Quality, wedge-type excluded)
A orifice plate throttling device should be sufficient; is it meant for measurement purposes?
Crude oil; it’s probably not for measurement purposes, as it was mentioned as a raw material. . To be precise, that is quality. . . Cheap ones can use orifice plates
Why not choose a high-temperature mass flow meter? You can also choose a high-temperature type elliptical gear flow meter! The wedge flow meter will do as well.
It’s something like flow measurement for control purposes, not for actual measurement I guess. For the residue oil after vacuum distillation, orifice plates are used; however, the heating of the pressure guiding tubes and the filler fluid (glycerin) need to be handled properly, otherwise it becomes very difficult to use. Target-type devices tend to lose their magnetism, while drum-shaped devices are prone to getting stuck. For reference only

It is recommended to use a wedge flow meter; with orifice plates, the pressure tapping pipes are prone to clogging. Unless one uses an insert-type pressure tap, similar to those with dual flanges – I have seen such things online but not in person, and I’m not sure which company manufactures them
