The device is a new one, equipped with interlocks. There are a few things I don’t quite understand: why are the interlock valves yellow, and what do ‘and’ and ‘or’ mean? Please see the diagram. Thank you; points appreciated
Do those who work on instruments these days not even know what ‘and’ and ‘or’ are?

The yellow color indicating bypass should signify that bypassing has taken place; it’s necessary to check in the configuration to find out what exactly triggers this. The ‘and’ condition means that the output will be 1 only if two or more conditions are also 1； Or, in other words, if either condition is 1, the output is 1. It is recommended to study this book.

Think about it first: what is the literal meaning of ‘and’ or ‘or’? And what does ‘chain’ mean here? And it means that all conditions must be met at the same time, or is it enough to meet just one of them? If it’s a trigger chain, one condition will initiate the chain; to reset the chain, all conditions must be met, right? That’s how I understand it!
