We are a manufacturing company in the field of coal chemical industry (we won’t mention our company name^_^). In recent years, the trend toward localization has become increasingly evident, and our company has also attempted to modify various types of equipment; overall, the results have been satisfactory. In the past year or two, we have planned to promote the use of domestic products in terms of instruments as well. We have conducted preliminary market research; regarding flow meters, especially mass flow meters used for measuring ethylene glycol and methanol, we asked some industry peers, and they all mentioned Dongfeng as well as another company, I think it’s Taihang. How effective are domestic mass flow meters in the coal chemical industry? Please, those who are knowledgeable and experienced, could you give some recommendations? Especially regarding the on-site usage, thank you.
I represent a manufacturer in Guizhou. Last time, representatives from Xi’an Dongfeng came to our company for technical exchanges; they said that nearly a hundred of these units were used last year in facilities for producing ethylene glycol and methanol from coal, and it seems that those users were all from Guizhou. The person asking the question can get in touch with the manufacturers. If that doesn’t work, they can purchase one unit and compare it with imported ones to see the difference.

We used 5 domestic ones, and that’s fine too
The Shanghai Yino models are not reliable; their display heads often break. I’ve used over a dozen of these devices, and I’ve had to repair 4 of their display heads.
