How are on-site pressure gauges represented in PID and DCS?
In PID, pressure is generally represented as PXXXX, while in DCS it is denoted as PIXXXX!
The on-site pressure gauge is represented on the PID diagram as a hollow circle; the upper half of this circle indicates PI, while the lower half shows the tag number of the pressure gauge, such as 301； It is not necessary to display the on-site pressure gauge in the DCS.
If the on-site pressure gauge does not send any signal to the DCS, how can there still be a display in the DCS? ?
In PID diagrams, on-site pressure gauges are indicated by the symbol PG within a circle; the tag numbers used by DCS for pressure values are generally PI, PIA, or PIAL
In the PID diagram, field pressure gauges are denoted as PG; there are no field gauges on the DCS
Generally, DCS systems do not display field pressure gauges; only the pressures that can be transmitted remotely are shown.
The display on the DCS is required to be concise and clear; since no signal from the on-site pressure gauge reaches the DCS, the value shown on the pressure gauge at the site is not displayed
