Which level gauge is the most accurate for measuring the liquid level in a reactor with stirring? Ignoring costs, pressure of 6 MPa and temperature of 180°C, with a catalyst slurry inside
It seems we can only use a level gauge based on nuclear radiation
Here, the pressure and temperature are 2.0 and 70 degrees; a nuclear level gauge is being used
Is it accuracy or reliability? The medium category also needs to be specified, especially in cases of corrosion, crystallization, etc
For accurate and reliable measurements, it is also necessary to know the size of the reactor, the corrosiveness of the medium, whether crystallization occurs, whether explosion protection is required, and the density of the medium; merely knowing the pressure and temperature is not sufficient to provide meaningful insights.

Why not use the weighing method? ? ? Choosing a radar is another option; filter algorithms can be used to eliminate the interference caused by stirring.
If the liquid is not viscous and does not crystallize, various types of level gauges can be used, such as radar or double-flange type gauges; if it is viscous, then nuclear or external-mounted level gauges have to be considered

I’m facing the same problem as the original poster: the reactor has a stirrer, the temperature is high, and the medium is viscous; therefore, the level gauge can only be installed at the top. The design team recommended a pulse radar, but it doesn’t work effectively within a range of about 2 meters, so I assume there will be significant fluctuations in that area.
Still the same question: what is your mixing speed, and what level of liquid do you want? When stirred, the liquid surface isn’t level
