The calibration methods for buoys are generally water calibration or weight hanging.
If the conditions permit, just use liquid calibration. If the conditions aren’t available, calculate the weight based on density and calibrate it with weights.
There are two methods for level calibration: filling with liquid (water) and using a weight. The filling method is commonly used in the field, while the weight method is more frequently used in examinations. The liquid level is simpler compared to the reference level; it requires some detailed parameters such as the cylinder length, measurement range, density, etc., and calculations are also needed.
