Should a benzene gas alarm use a diffusion type or a pump-driven type? Application status?

May I ask if everyone’s benzene detectors are of the diffusion type or the pump-action type? Which one is good? Application status? We have used both; the pump-type is slightly better. However, their lifespan is not long. Everyone hates the humid summers; there are many false alarms during the rainy season. Pump-driven operation is intermittent, with regular purging sessions during which the pump does not operate. Did the experts raise any issues during the safety inspection?

High-risk chemical materials are classified based on the amount of harm they can cause if inhaled; pump-type systems are often used for such purposes. We previously used a pump-type system equipped with a protective enclosure, with the intake located outside the enclosure. The filters needed to be replaced every 3 months, and the outdoor sensors were prone to failure. The cost was indeed high, but the sensitivity was high (at the PPM level). As a supplementary note, the model we use does not have backflow; the pump starts in an intermittent manner, and no one who inspected it raised any questions regarding this.
