There are two methanol flowmeters, with all parameters being the same. However, the large difference in medium temperature leads to inaccurate flow rates. I would appreciate advice on whether temperature and pressure compensation is necessary

Liquids generally don’t require temperature and pressure compensation; only gases do.
The key is to determine whether your flow meter measures volume or mass!
I agree with what was said on the 4th floor: a mass flow meter that measures mass directly does not require temperature compensation, but if it is used to measure mass flow based on volume flow, then compensation is necessary. Generally, the deviation for liquids is small.
If possible, the two flow meters can be swapped to rule out the issue of inaccurate readings. If the deviation remains large even after swapping them, it will be necessary to consult the flow meter manufacturer regarding temperature compensation.
Pressure compensation may not be very useful, but temperature compensation is beneficial, and this can be accomplished in a DCS. Don’t equipment suppliers have this setting?
Liquids only require temperature compensation; pressure generally does not need compensation.
The mass measurement is also carried out within the system, with compensations calculated based on the measured temperature and pressure.
In the case of mass measurement, if the mass flow meter has a density detection function, it is more reasonable to apply density detection compensation. Temperature compensation can also be considered, which can help with optimization. Pressure is not necessary, as the compressibility of liquids is extremely low.
