Rotating vortex flowmeters – these are manufactured by us and come with built-in temperature and pressure compensation; they offer good accuracy and stability in measurements, and are often used for measuring natural gas. The price is also a bit higher.
I will use an eddy current flow meter to measure natural gas (including the raw gas from wells that contains water and impurities). As long as the medium isn’t too dirty (in which case a filter can be used), the eddy current flow meter doesn’t have very high accuracy (1.5 grade), and it also doesn’t require high stability from the medium; fluctuations within a certain range don’t have any impact on the measurement accuracy. Nor do certain amplitudes or frequencies affect the accuracy or damage the meter.
I would also like to ask whether rotary positive displacement flowmeters can only be used for measuring gaseous media?
A clean, low-viscosity liquid will work as well; the requirements are exactly the same as those for vortex flow meters! The principle is similar as well. As long as it can be used for vortex flow meters, he can use it. The main production area in China is Zhejiang.
