Differences and uses between optical cables and communication cables

The factory needs to purchase the following three types of cables: 1. Fiber optic cable, 2. RS-485 communication cable, 3. STP Cat6 cable. I’m not quite sure about the differences and uses of these three types of cables Can’t they be used together?
It’s strange to decide to buy a cable without knowing its purpose or specifications. An optical cable, whose signal transmission medium is glass fiber, requires specialized equipment for connection as well as for signal input and output ； For RS-485 communication cables, Category 5 cable is sufficient for short distances, while dedicated communication cables or optical fibers are necessary for longer distances ； STP Cat6 cable is a shielded Category 6 cable (super Category 5 cable)
