There are over 20 pneumatic butterfly valves on site, scattered in different locations; the solenoid valves are installed exposed. Now, when it rains, water gets into the silencers. How can this be prevented?

Well, is it actually a workshop or an outdoor area?
The protection rating required for outdoor installation should be IP65 or higher. If the installation location is appropriate, and waterproof sealing joints and plugs are installed as required, no additional protection is needed. Some users wrap it in plastic sheeting, but this is completely unnecessary and hinders heat dissipation.
Our factory covers everything with plastic sheeting, regardless of the number of IP units, and applies 704:P
It’s mainly because I’m worried that water might get into the silencer
Generally, there are cabinets on site where the solenoid valves are grouped together; the air supply is distributed uniformly, and the wiring is done in a centralized manner. In the situation you described, the silencer can be installed with its bottom facing down. Generally, water won’t get in. But it seems that you don’t need to worry about water getting into the silencer at the moment; rather, it’s the solenoid valve that’s at risk of having water enter it, as well as the plug of the solenoid valve or the cable gland, along with possible aging of the sealing rings. This causes the solenoid valve to fail. Mufflers are usually exhaust openings, and it’s difficult for water to get in. You can also refer to the solution mentioned above – a piece of plastic sheeting will do, and it needs to be replaced once a year
A workshop is just a unit for managing production facilities; there are also departments called operation teams, and it’s not true that a workshop must be an indoor space.
