Are there central control personnel in the facility who are logging process alarms? Are there national standards that require recording?
It can be recorded or not; it depends mainly on the process requirements
Considering the process requirements and production stability, in the first few years after a new installation is put into operation, it’s not possible to record all the alarms, as there are too many of them. It takes time to optimize the processes in order to reduce the number of alarms, and only then does it make sense to keep track of them
If nothing is recorded, how can one recall and analyze faults or accidents?
