On the other hand, it should be up to the instrument user to decide how to use the output signal of the device; the manufacturer of the instrument should provide sufficient convenience for its use. For example, if a user has a special requirement and wants the instrument’s output signal to remain above 12 mA at all times, then there’s no reason why that user shouldn’t be allowed to set the operating range of the transmitter, which normally spans from 0 to 20 kPa, to -20 to 20 kPa or -25 to 20 kPa. Such settings by the user don’t violate any common sense principles It is rather to ensure that the output signal remains above 12mA when using a pressure transducer in the range of 0–20 kPa! Listen to me; that’s right: for the EJA530, if the diaphragm type is A, the range setting is 10Kpa–200KPa. Your current range is -1 to 4Kpa, which is only 5Kpa wide and does not meet the minimum requirement of 10Kpa. You should change the range to -1 to 9Kpa instead. Also, your previous range was 0–20 KPa; you changed it to -1~4, but in reality it hasn’t changed and remains 0–20, so the output is 4 mA.
There are two questions: can gauge pressure be used to measure negative pressure? And is 0-20 kPa the measurement range or the scale?
