On the flowchart, there is a orifice plate flow meter installed on the 14-inch lined pipe; the medium involved is HCL gas. I’m not sure whether there are any orifice plates or venturi devices that are suitable for use with lining. If such devices do not exist, then orifice plates made of tantalum will have to be used, and that would be extremely expensive. I’m not sure if any of the forum members have experience in related design work; please offer some suggestions. Thank you!
For such a large pipeline, have you considered an insert-type flow meter? Delta Ba, Anouba, and things like that.
Mainly, the lined pipelines cannot be welded in place, so plug-in types are not considered
For insert-type types, the piping needs to be modified; the same is true for orifice plates and similar components. Unless you use a clamp-type design, the piping will have to be altered in any case.
Movable welding is not possible; external mounting could be considered
The current plan is to use special materials for the orifice plate, while still using lined flanges for the pressure tapping flanges; however, the lining is applied after the pressure tapping holes have been drilled. Custom-made products will be more expensive as a result. Selecting a flow meter for the liner pipe is a hassle, especially for gas measurement.
Can a pitot tube be used for differential pressure types?
