Why does a thermal resistor need to be explosion-proof?
All instrument and electrical equipment within the explosion-proof area must be designed to be explosion-proof, typically using intrinsically safe or flameproof designs; such protection is not required outside of the explosion-proof area.
Because your thermal resistor also generates electricity; when there is electricity present in an explosion-proof area, explosion protection must be taken into account, as electric sparks can occur

Foreign thermometer manufacturers likely act in this way; domestic manufacturers, on the other hand, simply copy what foreigners do, especially design institutes – once they see that foreign thermal resistor and thermocouple products come with explosion-proof certifications, they also start requiring explosion-proof features

Intrinsic safety and explosion protection are two different things. It cannot be confused. If there is electricity, wiring terminals, and an explosion-proof requirement, then explosion protection is necessary
