What’s special about the control valves for conventional desalination water?:o Apart from water, the media flowing through the pipelines are such that butterfly valves lined with PTFE are used during the regeneration phase due to the presence of acids and bases; for other cases where only water flows, rubber-lined butterfly valves are used. All of these are of the wafer-type design, which saves money! On the acid and alkali tank pipelines, the diameter is not large and the pressure is not high; fluorinated rubber ball valves are used for switching, while fluorinated rubber single-seat valves are used for regulation. To save money, diaphragm valves can be used as a substitute for these two types of valves. As for no internal leakage over 5 years, it depends on the product quality and whether the operating conditions are normal!

To be honest, diaphragm valves are the best choice. The actuators with larger sizes are those based on the old \"Sánchez\" technology, or those from China’s \"Yuanshang Valve Factory No. 5\"; whereas modern cylinder technologies represented by German brands like Gemi feature very compact actuators. Another point is to use high-quality pipe clamp valves. Ball valves are not economical.
