Three-wire systems mostly don’t require it. Typically, the probes used with GDS systems are of the three-wire type, and the GDS system itself has explosion-proof capabilities ； ； Some general-purpose probes equipped with transmitters (mostly two-wire type, compatible with DCS or other instruments) require a safety barrier.
