I’d like to ask everyone! 1. DCS controls the start/stop of electric valves – are the start/stop contacts of these valves always normally open? 2. Does the DCS start and stop the electric valve? Should a continuous signal or a 3-second pulse signal be sent to the electric valve, and does it maintain its state on its own?
Regarding how DCS controls electric valves, you first need to understand the circuit diagram of the electric valve; by looking at the diagram, you will know how to control it. This is similar to how DCS controls motors – whether start/stop is achieved with one or two signals, and whether it’s a pulse or a continuous signal, all of these depend on the circuit diagram, as well as on whether self-holding is possible or if the DCS is required to maintain that state.
