Petroleum and chemical industry standards recommend the use of non-grounded types. API551 states that grounded types have a faster response time and lower electrical noise; then why do petroleum and chemical industry standards recommend non-grounded types? Is it to achieve electrical isolation from the sleeve?
The American standard states that the grounded type results in lower electrical noise, which is completely the opposite of what you mentioned
