OPCENUM cannot be enabled during DCOM configuration

This post was last edited by jian0321 on 2023-9-6 at 16:19. After configuring DCOM, I re-entered the Component Services and found that opcenum was missing. The opcenum.exe program is still present in the C drive folder; however, running pcenum.exe /regserver had no effect. The testing software indicates that there are no OPC 2.0 components available. How can I re-enable OPCenum?
To re-enable opcenum, follow these steps: 1. Open Command Prompt (run as administrator). 2. Navigate to the directory where opcenum.exe is located. By default, this file is located in the “C:\Windows\System32” directory. 3. Enter “opcenum.exe /regserver” in the command prompt, then press Enter. 4. Wait for a while until a message indicates that the operation has been completed successfully. 5. Then, check in the component service whether opcenum has been restored. You can open Component Services by pressing Win + R and then entering "dcomcnfg". 6. In Component Services, expand the “Computers” node, then select “DCOM Configuration”. 7. Search for opcenum to ensure it has reappeared. In this way, you should be able to successfully re-enable opcenum. If the problem persists, it is recommended that you check the system logs for more details, or try reinstalling the OPC Server software. .
I’ve tried everything you mentioned. It seems to disappear when I run opcenum.exe /unregserver, but it doesn’t come back after running opcenum.exe /regserver. How to reinstall OPC
