On January 20, Inner Mongolia’s first industrial Internet platform based on artificial intelligence (AI) large models – the Ordos Industrial Internet Platform – was officially launched, marking the beginning of widespread use of AI technology in local industries such as mining, coal chemical processing, and new energy. It is understood that this platform was developed jointly by Ordos City and Huawei Company. Based on artificial intelligence and the \"MineHong\" operating system, it is a comprehensive industry platform that integrates advanced technologies such as cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, and large-scale models, serving the purposes of research, development, production, and application. This platform includes various modules such as basic computing power, AI computing power, an AI platform, industrial large models, an application development platform, and an application marketplace. It is made available to partners in the industry on an open and inclusive basis, addressing the issues associated with the current \"craftsman-style\" approach to AI development, such as high barriers to entry and long development cycles, which hinder the widespread adoption of AI technologies. The platform also adopts an innovative \"store in front, factory behind\" model, supporting incubation and innovation, outcome transformation, and a complete commercial cycle based on the platform. At present, this platform is primarily used in the field of smart mines; in the future, it will be gradually applied in areas such as coal chemical industry, new energy, and intelligent manufacturing, thereby driving further advancements in industrial intelligence. The launch of this platform represents an important milestone in the digital and intelligent development of Ordos’ industrial sector. At the launch event, Ordos City signed cooperation agreements with 18 AI partners, 16 \"MineHong\" ecosystem partners, and 10 coal mining enterprises to join the platform. Ordos City **also calls on more enterprises, research institutions, universities, and development partners to join the Ordos industrial internet ecosystem, foster innovation, and achieve growth and expansion. Du Huiliang, Deputy Secretary of the Ordos Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, said in his speech that as an **energy hub and a new-type industrial city striving for accelerated transformation and development, Ordos has multiple advantages in developing the industrial Internet. The city is willing to work together with all parties to seize opportunities, accelerate the development of new advantages in the digital economy, and make every effort to create a new ecosystem for the growth of the industrial internet. Wu Qiang, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered a keynote speech in which he stated that technological innovation is crucial in industrial production. The launch of the industrial Internet platform based on \"MinHong\" is of great significance for driving high-quality development through innovation in Ordos. Ordos is an important energy hub in the country. The city has 8 industrial parks and over 600 industrial enterprises of a certain scale, and its diversified development along with a modern industrial system provide an excellent foundation for the application of industrial Internet technologies.
