A bus wiring method can be used. However, it is necessary to ensure that the selected bus protocol meets the requirements of the field environment and safety standards, such as using common industrial bus standards like Profibus and Modbus. At the same time, the reliability and redundancy of the bus system must be ensured to prevent single-point failures from affecting the operation of the entire system. .
Regarding this issue, the editorial board clearly stated during the presentation of 50493 that it is not recommended to use a bus-based approach. Document No. 116 issued by the State Administration of Work Safety classifies the GDS system as part of the safety instrumented systems, and the design specifications for such systems require that instrument signals should not be transmitted via buses.
