After the inspection of the liquefied hydrocarbon spheres is completed, nitrogen is used for purging. To prevent overpressure inside the spheres during the summer, the nitrogen level is carefully controlled in order to avoid overheating and overpressure under high summer temperatures, thereby reducing waste of liquefied hydrocarbon gas that would otherwise be vented through flares.
