When heating a vaporization furnace, it is generally necessary to replace the high-temperature thermocouple with a low-temperature one; the high-temperature thermocouple should be replaced again at 800°C. Is it okay not to make this replacement? How large is the error of high-temperature thermocouples at low temperatures? ? ? Can it provide a relatively accurate reflection of the warming trend? ? ?
What is the calibration number for a thermocouple? Normally it is of the K type, with a range of 0-800; there is no need to replace it within this range
The high-temperature thermocouple is of type B, and it exhibits significant errors at lower temperatures; our starting temperature is 500 degrees. The low-temperature thermocouple is of type K, and it cannot be used for long periods in high-temperature conditions

Low-temperature thermocouples are relatively long and extend into the furnace bricks, which allows for more accurate measurements as well as a faster response time. High-temperature thermocouples are designed to be shorter in order to extend their service life; they remain within the furnace bricks, resulting in a slower response time. However, low-temperature thermocouples cannot operate for long periods at temperatures above 1,000 degrees
Low-temperature thermocouples tend to get damaged easily when the temperature is high; the furnace temperature fluctuates frequently, making it difficult to maintain a consistent baking temperature. It might be advisable to replace them at 600°C – 800°C is a bit too high. It’s better to replace them sooner; since they need to be replaced anyway, why wait until 800°C?
