There are standards and measurement parameters and methods for wastewater discharge, which vary depending on the industry. It is based on your company’s discharge standards or requirements regarding wastewater reuse that it becomes possible to determine the limits for COD and ammonia nitrogen emissions. As for exactly which parameters need to be measured and what those parameters are, please refer to the relevant standards. However, common parameters such as COD, BOD, ammonia nitrogen, and pH must definitely be measured; one can opt for COD/ammonia nitrogen online analyzers or portable instruments.
