Can the two streams of tray wash water in the Texaco gasifier carbon scrubber be put into use before or at the time of startup, depending on the liquid level in the carbon scrubber? If it can’t be put into use, why? When should it be put into use
The two streams of water used for the trays in the washing tower are the conversion condensate derived from the conversion process, and the boiler water supplied from the common pipeline. Before the gas from the gasifier reaches the conversion unit, no condensate is available for use there; therefore, boiler water must be used as the water for the trays at this time (before the conversion unit starts operating). Once the gasifier begins to produce gas and high-temperature condensate becomes available, then the condensate can be used instead of boiler water
