The circulation volume of the crude benzene circulation oil in our plant was originally 140 liters; without any adjustments, this volume gradually decreased (by less than 1 liter per day), and about 10 liters were lost over half a month. The instruments are all working properly, and the issue of water in the oil has also been checked. I hope experts can help analyze this situation.
The oil washing consumption specified during design is 0.1 tons per ton of crude benzene. During normal production, it may be 50 to 80 kilograms.
The circulation volume has decreased; if the flow meter is not the cause, then it could be that the pipe heat exchanger is blocked or that the oil pump impeller is not functioning properly
Check the impeller of the low-oil pump; if it isn’t made of stainless steel, it will corrode more quickly.
