How to deal with water in syngas caused by blockage of the black water to high flash point valve on the gasification grate?
1. Reduce load to secure maintenance time; 2. If the liquid level cannot be controlled, the machine must be stopped for handling.
The key to dealing with this situation is to address both the symptoms and the root causes: it’s mainly the issue of clogging in the black water ball valve, which needs to be resolved
First, determine whether it is caused by pipeline scaling or by the entry of ash and slag into the black water pipeline. If it is caused by scaling, the amount of ash water used for replacement should be increased along with the dosage of dispersant; of course, the most effective solution is to replace the coal, as keeping the furnace temperature at a higher level generally reduces the hardness of the ash water. If slag enters the black water pipeline, it indicates that a bridge may have formed above the slag breaker, and appropriate measures must be taken to break this bridge, such as using carbon dioxide backflow from above the lock hopper or connecting the lock hopper to the gasifier through a pressure difference (with the pressure difference being increased gradually from 5 kilograms).
The focus is on addressing the issue of valve blockages. The high level of water in the stream is mainly due to the high solid content in the black water. To address this, increasing the amount of black water discharged from the carbon scrubber and opening up the valves for the conversion unit’s condensate can help reduce the concentration of black water slightly.
Reduce the load and divert the water for startup processing
