I’ll start by sharing that I received the third edition of the manual on modern coal chemical technology in print last Sunday; its cover is really stylish, and it features many renowned experts as contributors. After comparing it with the second edition, I noticed that 1. the font size is larger than in the second edition, but the overall appearance isn’t very good. The number of pages is higher than in the third edition, and many chapters have been removed from the content. 2. Some of the content inside, such as the calculations related to the vaporized material and heat balance, has been removed; it seems that the book now only has its framework left, lacking the richness present in the second edition. 3. Perhaps I just received the book and haven’t studied it in detail yet; my understanding of some aspects might be one-sided. Everyone, please share your thoughts on this book as well.
This book isn’t available yet :):):):)
It’s relatively expensive, priced at over 400. I spent 300 yuan on it as well. The catalog looked pretty good, so I bought it and took a look
Companies are willing to spend a lot of money on such books; what matters most is whether people will read them thoroughly after purchasing them. Electronic versions can only be used as a last resort and are not suitable for learning – having a physical copy is essential for true satisfaction.
They republish things to make money; wasn’t it once about passing on knowledge and resolving doubts? You’re wrong. Excuse me, is there any information available on sulfur-tolerant methanation technology? Is there any information on one-step dimethyl ether synthesis and separation technology?
It’s really stinky and long; the second edition was even published in three volumes: upper, middle, and lower
I agree; reading paper books is more efficient for learning*, while electronic versions still aren’t as convenient*
Page 39 contains only a few brief mentions of the content you referred to regarding dimethyl ether, while page 999 provides a more detailed explanation of the one-step synthesis gas process
You must be referring to another book; Teacher He Yongde’s Handbook of Modern Coal Chemical Technology – versions 1, 2, and 3 are all highly renowned books
This book can’t be found online now.
The new version is only available in print format; there is no electronic version
