What does “furnace age correction” mean?

You can take a closer look at the standard requirements; fifthly, correction coefficients and values for the age of coke ovens have been added； If the furnace age is 15 years or less, the correction factor is 1.0, i.e., EJT/1.00; if the furnace age is more than 15 years but less than 25 years, the correction factor is 0.98, i.e., EJT/0.98; if the furnace age is more than 25 years, the correction factor is 0.96, i.e., EJT/0.96. EJT represents the calculated energy consumption per unit of coke produced. My understanding is that it’s something like your furnace age, along with the corresponding correction factor, and then the relevant calculation standards
