At 16:00 on the afternoon of June 26, 2024, Yunnan Coal Industry Energy Co., Ltd. organized a symposium to seek users’ opinions on the quality assessment for the 2 million tons per year coking environmental protection relocation and transformation project. The participants included the project owner, the user unit, the supervision unit, representatives of some construction units, and members of the acceptance team from the Yunnan Metallurgical Engineering Quality Supervision Station. All parties present exchanged their views freely and had thorough discussions on engineering quality management and acceptance processes. In accordance with the quality acceptance standards for engineering projects in the metallurgical industry, the meeting unanimously approved that the quality of this project is qualified. The supervision services and quality consulting services provided by Shanhe Supervision Company for this project were also a complete success. The project is located in the Anning Industrial Park in Kunming, where two new regenerative top-mounted coke ovens along with related supporting facilities will be built. On December 30, 2021, the project officially commenced construction ； On October 27, 2022, Coking Oven No. 2 successfully produced coke, and on December 17, Coking Oven No. 1 also successfully produced coke ； On December 25, 2022, Unit 1 of the coke oven gas generator set was put into operation to generate electricity, and on March 20, 2023, Unit 2 of such a generator set was connected to the power grid to start generating electricity. The project is constructed in accordance with the principles of first-class design standards in China and advanced international practices. In terms of process technologies and equipment, an emphasis is placed on energy conservation and environmental protection; thus, advanced domestic processes and equipment are utilized. The project reaches full operational capacity right from the start of production, the equipment operates stably and reliably, and its technical and economic indicators meet the design requirements.
