According to Hunan Daily·New Hunan Client, as of March 2, 2026, the hydrogen ammonia area coal gasification unit of Hunan Petrochemical's annual production of 600,000 tons of caprolactam industry chain relocation and upgrading and transformation development project has processed a total of 1.008 million tons of caprolactam waste liquid. The scientific research team of Hunan Petrochemical Caprolactam Department continues to expand the scope of waste liquid co-processing. Since 2025, they have completed the slurrying test and risk assessment of ammoximation wastewater and coal, and are currently conducting research and research on co-gasification technology of various organic waste liquids and coal such as cyclohexanone saponification waste alkali liquid, oil refining MDEA (methyldiethanolamine) wastewater, electric desalination wastewater, oil refining alkali residue, epichlorohydrin wastewater, etc. Baling Petrochemical's caprolactam industry chain relocation, upgrading and transformation development project uses three SE coal-water slurry gasifiers (2 open and 1 standby), with a daily coal input of 1,500 tons per furnace to produce hydrogen and liquid ammonia. The coal gasification unit will be put into operation on November 25, 2023. The new generation of coal-water slurry water-cooled wall gasification technology optimizes the caprolactam waste liquid pretreatment process to achieve co-gasification of the entire waste liquid and coal, replacing the traditional waste liquid treatment that requires the construction of an independent concentrated incineration process, achieving intensive operation and comprehensive utilization of resources to "turn waste into treasure".
