I searched on Baidu, but couldn’t find any information about it; so I turned to the knowledgeable HaiChuan for help. There’s a lot of information related to MTA in the context of gasification – what exactly does MTA mean? I’ve also attached a PPT I used for my own learning; it’s a compilation of materials found online (for educational purposes only), and I hope it can be somewhat helpful to everyone

I’m not entirely sure either. The thing is, there’s an MTA plant in Zhangqiu that deals with gasification; they only produce methanol, and no further processing is carried out after that. It’s possible that MTA stands for Methanol to Aromatics, but they indeed do not produce aromatics

Following your suggestion, I did some research, and it is indeed possible that it refers to the production of aromatics from methanol; simply searching for MTA doesn’t yield any results. Thank you. It might be related to terms like MTO and MTG – these are also abbreviations in this context
