In accordance with relevant regulations such as the Work Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China, on September 1st, Huayu Company organized an acceptance inspection for the safety facilities of this new 600,000 tons/year methanol distillation project. An acceptance team was formed comprising representatives from Huayu Company, the design firm, the construction company, the supervision agency, and the evaluation unit. Senior experts from the provincial emergency management department were brought in to assist with the inspection, and officials from the provincial, municipal, and county-level emergency management departments supervised the entire process. At the meeting, Niu Hongkuan, Chairman and General Manager of Huayu Company, delivered a welcome speech. Guo Longfei, Deputy General Manager, outlined the progress of project construction, trial operation, and the implementation of the \"three simultaneities\" principle regarding safety. The design, construction, supervision, and evaluation agencies each provided information on the safety facilities in place. The expert group raised questions regarding the design, construction, supervision, and safety acceptance evaluation reports, to which the relevant participating units provided clarifications. The expert group carefully reviewed the relevant acceptance documents and inspected the project site. After thorough and detailed discussions, they unanimously agreed that the project meets the requirements of **laws, regulations, and relevant standards; its safety facilities are at an advanced level in China, and these facilities are operating properly. Therefore, it meets the conditions for a special acceptance inspection of safety facilities, and they approved the completion acceptance of the 600,000 tons per year methanol distillation project’s safety facilities. The completion inspection of safety facilities, as the final step regarding safety for this project, signifies that it meets all requirements for safe operation, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. The technical renovation project for a 600,000 tons per year methanol distillation unit, as part of Huayu Company’s integrated electric heating demonstration project for the clean utilization of high-sulfur coal, was carried out to address the issue of the company’s relatively limited product range and to meet market demands. This unit is designed to match the company’s production capacity of millions of tons of crude alcohol, and since the project began operating, the facilities have been functioning well.
