Hello everyone, the amount of concentrated liquid resulting from solvent regeneration remains stable, but the volume of acidic gas at the top of the regeneration tower fluctuates regularly, increasing and decreasing from time to time. What could be causing this? I wonder if anyone has encountered this before; please help answer! Thank you
There are many such influencing factors, and it is normal as long as they vary within a certain range.
Does the pressure at the top of the tower fluctuate? If the top pressure also fluctuates, try adjusting the PID of the top pressure control loop.
If it is indeed a regular fluctuation, the pressure control locator at the top of the tower should be checked. I think it’s difficult for other reasons to show “regular” fluctuations.
1. Temperature: The absorption temperature affects the absorption rate of carbon dioxide, resulting in an increased level of carbon dioxide that is regenerated, which in turn influences the total amount of acidic gas; 2. Reboiling steam: with a constant circulation rate, changes in the amount of steam at the bottom of the tower lead to changes in the output of regenerated acid gas ; 3. Hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide contents in the rich liquid 4. Thermal balance of the regeneration tower: Perform a thermal balance analysis of the regeneration tower. This analysis should take into account the return of the rich liquid to the tower, the extraction of the lean liquid, the amount of reboiling steam, the reflux at the tower top, and the extraction from the tower top. It is necessary to determine whether the overall thermal balance of the tower changes when the circulation volume remains constant. Changes in the overall thermal balance affect the regeneration efficiency within the tower, and these changes in regeneration efficiency in turn affect the gas phase extracted from the tower top
If the flow rate remains stable while the acidic gas levels fluctuate regularly, it is likely due to the pressure control valve at the top of the tower
