The flower wall is designed to mix acidic gases, fuel gases, and sulfur dioxide evenly, thereby preventing high-temperature gas streams from causing damage to the tube sheet of the waste heat boiler.
Devices designed domestically usually have decorative walls, whereas some foreign process packages (especially those with a mid-stream splitting process) generally do not have such decorative walls.
Advantages of the baffle wall: 1. It enables a more uniform mixing of the process gas, thereby increasing the conversion rate. 2. It also helps to prolong the residence time of the gas inside the sulfur production furnace. 3. It prevents the process gas from directly eroding the tube bundles in the steam generator at the rear of the reaction furnace
