Recently, thanks to two years of continuous efforts by the catalyst R&D team at the Center for Advanced Hydrocarbon Utilization Technologies, the key R&D project of the group company, “Development of a Catalyst for Converting FTO Wax into High-Quality Fuel Oils” (ycsy2016ky-A-21), was able to complete the design and finalization of the catalyst as well as scale-up testing on a kilogram scale ahead of schedule. A long-term catalytic performance evaluation over 1,000 hours (from January 1 to February 12, 2018) was also carried out successfully, and the technical parameters of this project exceeded the expected goals. The experimental results show that under reaction conditions of a temperature of 313°C, a pressure of 4 MPa, a hydrogen-to-oil ratio of 1000, and a space velocity of 1.5 h-1, the conversion rate of heavy waxes (>370°C) reaches 90.85%, the selectivity for light fuel oil is as high as 96.75%, and the gas yield
