Search online for Qingdao Lianxin; they are working on research related to sulfur-resistant catalysts, and have a pilot plant in Tianqing. I’m not sure if it’s in operation yet
Sulfur-tolerant methanation catalyst? This cow. At the last forum, a friend mentioned that high CO2 levels do not affect methanation; if such sulfur-resistant materials really existed, then there would be no need for low-methane purification. Is this possible? The sulfur content requirements for natural gas products are very strict; if no treatment is carried out before synthesis, sulfur removal must be done after synthesis, and it seems that there is no particular advantage in terms of process efficiency.
The requirements for H2S content in pipeline natural gas are not only three to two orders of magnitude more lenient than those for nickel-based methanation catalysts. Do you know the extent to which the precision desulfurization process affects the production cost of natural gas, in order to meet the requirements regarding the quality of the feed gas for nickel-based methanation catalysts?
