On May 1, after more than 10 hours of commissioning work, the turbine in the process gas compression unit of the Zhong’an MTO plant, constructed by Shijian, successfully met the highest operational requirements for the equipment, making it ready for use. It also signifies that the core equipment of this unit is capable of pressurizing the entire system with gas, providing the necessary power for its operation, and meeting the pressure requirements for purging at the current stage. At 1:00 p.m. on May 1, after more than two hours of warming up the steam pipes, the turbine was officially started at 3:31 p.m. It began its first warming-up phase at a initial speed of 800 revolutions per minute; after one hour, it successfully reached its minimum operating speed of 4,442 revolutions per minute. It then continued to accelerate, reaching a maximum operating speed of 6,218 revolutions per minute by 5:30 p.m., and operated stably for 4 hours. Subsequent overspeed tests and shutdown tests were conducted, and the monitoring data for both the main and auxiliary equipment showed good performance, confirming that the acceleration process was successful.
