Progress on the Construction of Shaanxi Jingyi Chemical’s 500,000 tons/year Coal Tar Deep Processing and Multi-product Integrated Utilization Project / Author/Source: Huahua Network – Coal Chemicals / Date: 2019-07-01 / Clicks: 28. On June 25, the 110kV substation for this project was successfully connected to the power supply, marking the completion of another key milestone in the project’s construction. This achievement lays a solid foundation for subsequent construction work and trial operations. The 110kV main substation was completed on April 15; it is a comprehensive automated substation featuring intelligent equipment, automated systems, and coordinated integration. GIS enclosed switchgear is used, with a double-bus wiring configuration, comprising a total of 12 bays. 3 circuits in the incoming line bay ; Sent in 2 batches at intervals, to the ferroalloy center ; 4 circuits per transformer bay ; PT interval 2 times ; 1 busbar bay. It is powered by three 110kV lines: two incoming lines from Fuxing Substation and one incoming line from Yaoku Substation. This substation serves as the power hub for the project, responsible for distributing electricity to various production centers and areas. On June 24, the first set of water production equipment at the desalinated water station in the power center of the Lean Chemicals Coal Tar Deep Processing and Multi-product Integrated Utilization project was successfully commissioned, producing qualified desalinated water. This marks that the desalinated water station now has full capacity for desalinated water production, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent commissioning and testing of the facility. Shaanxi Jingyi Chemical Co., Ltd.’s 500,000 tons per year project for the deep processing and integrated utilization of coal tar involves the use of advanced technologies with independent intellectual property rights, developed specifically for the characteristics of coal tar. The core technology consists of a combination of boiling-bed hydrogenation for quality improvement of coal tar across all fractions, along with fixed-bed hydrocracking; using medium- and low-temperature coal tar as raw material, this process is used to produce high-value aromatic chemical products. The project covers an area of about 1,200 mu, with an estimated investment of around 4.6 billion yuan. Construction of the project officially began in August 2017, and it is now in the final stages of design, civil works and safety preparations, as well as equipment installation. Completion and commissioning are expected by the end of October 2019. The projects mainly include: a 550,000-ton/year coal tar pretreatment unit, a 500,000-ton/year coal tar fluidized-bed hydrocracking unit, a 450,000-ton/year coal tar fixed-bed hydrocracking unit, a 400,000-ton/year naphtha continuous reforming unit, a 170,000-ton/year aromatic extraction unit, a 50,000 cubic meters per hour coal-to-hydrogen unit, a 50,000 cubic meters per hour air separation unit, a 100,000-ton/year methanol synthesis unit, as well as related supporting facilities such as hydrogen purification (PSA) units, sulfur recovery units, phenol-amine recovery units, storage and transportation systems, and other auxiliary and environmental protection systems.
