Recently, the integrated utilization project for solid waste at Huayu Company’s intermediate slag site saw successful joint testing of the coarse sand washing system, which enabled the start of testing with actual material; this marks a new stage in the development of this system. It is understood that the intermediate slag yard serves as a transfer station for gasification coarse slag, sedimentation tank sludge, boiler slag, and fly ash, handling nearly 2,000 tons of solid waste per day. A large amount of solid waste accumulates here; the company not only incurs high costs in dealing with this waste but also loses a significant amount of valuable land to it. Once the system passes commissioning, it can process over 1,000 tons of gaseous crude slag per day, achieving effects such as solid waste reduction, wastewater recycling, and product value enhancement. It also recovers materials and energy from solid waste, promotes the recycling of energy, and creates economic value. The resource utilization of solid waste not only helps to protect the environment but also saves resources and reduces the release of pollutants into the environment.
