Progress on the Construction of 300,000-ton Fuel Ethanol Production Project by Inner Mongolia Zhongneng Biology Author/Source: Bayannur Daily Date: 2019-08-01 Clicks: 10 It is reported that the annual production capacity of 300,000 tons of fuel ethanol for the project undertaken by Inner Mongolia Zhongneng Biology Technology Co., Ltd. requires a total investment of 1.19 billion yuan. Once completed, the facility will use corn as raw material to produce 300,000 tons of biofuel ethanol and 270,000 tons of DDGS feed per year. The project commenced construction in June this year; some equipment has already been purchased and manufactured, and the foundation work for the raw material warehouse is underway. A total investment of 180 million yuan has been made so far. Once the project reaches full capacity, it will generate an annual profit of 180 million yuan, pay 220 million yuan in taxes and fees, and create employment for over 600 people. This project will produce high-quality DDGS (a high-protein feed), providing premium concentrate feed for 500,000 beef cattle and 4 million sheep, thereby effectively improving the quality of their meat. The fuel ethanol produced by this project will be sold to regions such as Mengxi, Ningxia, and northern Shaanxi, serving as a supply base for areas like Sichuan, Tianjin, and Gansu. It is the only fuel ethanol production facility in China’s western region. The technology employed in this project consists of advanced processes developed over more than 20 years by Zhongke Tianyuan in the industry, as well as various proprietary technologies created leveraging the strong R&D capabilities of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Through doctoral workstations and engineering R&D centers, breakthroughs in production technology are achieved, and the integration of industry, academia, and research serves as an important model for the ethanol industry.
