Progress on the Construction of the Integrated Multi-product Production Project for the Deep Processing of Coal Tar by Shaanxi Jingyi Chemical Co., Ltd. On October 15, the 14 heating furnaces in the oil products processing unit of Shaanxi Jingyi Chemical Co., Ltd.’s project for the deep processing of coal tar and integrated multi-product production successfully passed the handover inspection, marking the completion of the construction phase for these heating furnaces. The project has now entered the equipment commissioning stage, laying the foundation for the trial operation of the entire facility. At 15:55 on the afternoon of October 15, updates from the hydrogen production facility of Shaanxi Jingyi Chemical Co., Ltd. indicated that the steam purging process at 9.8 MPa in the air separation unit passed both attempts, marking the successful completion of the purging of the main steam pipes in that unit. This steam purging operation is an important part and prerequisite for the commissioning of the air separation unit. The steam purging operation of the air separation unit at 9.8 MPa lasted 18 days. At 2 a.m. on September 28, the high-pressure steam was available for use; after the steam pipe warming process, at 6 a.m., the air separation unit officially entered the 9.8 MPa steam purging phase. Apply pressure, purge, then apply pressure again and purge once more, while checking the purge results by targeting. The steam purging is in its 18th day; after passing the purge target inspection, the purging of the high-pressure steam pipeline at 9.8 Mpa was successfully completed. Shaanxi Jingyi Chemical Co., Ltd. is a new-type coal chemical enterprise jointly invested in and established by Shaanxi Yulin Energy Group Co., Ltd. (as the holding party), Shaanxi Hengyuan Investment Group Co., Ltd., and Shenmu Financial Holding Group Co., Ltd. The 500,000 tons per year coal tar deep processing and multi-product integrated utilization project employs advanced technologies with independent intellectual property rights, developed specifically for the characteristics of coal tar. The core technology involves a combination of boiling-bed hydrogenation for quality improvement of coal tar across all fractions and fixed-bed hydrocracking; using medium- and low-temperature coal tar as raw material, it primarily produces high-value aromatic chemical products. The project covers an area of about 1,200 mu, with an estimated investment of around 4.6 billion yuan. The projects mainly include: a 550,000-ton/year coal tar pretreatment unit, a 500,000-ton/year coal tar fluidized-bed hydrocracking unit, a 450,000-ton/year coal tar fixed-bed hydrocracking unit, a 400,000-ton/year naphtha continuous reforming unit, a 170,000-ton/year aromatic extraction unit, a 50,000 cubic meters per hour coal-to-hydrogen unit, a 50,000 cubic meters per hour air separation unit, a 100,000-ton/year methanol synthesis unit, as well as related supporting facilities such as hydrogen purification (PSA) units, sulfur recovery units, phenol-amine recovery units, storage and transportation systems, and other auxiliary and environmental protection systems.
